Mission

The Rhody Appathon was created by AraOluwa Adetunji, the 2025 Congressional App Challenge Winner for Rhode Island District #2, as a rising senior in high school.

The mission of Rhody Appathon is to inspire teens everywhere to learn to code and build apps that address real community challenges and create positive change. Rhody Appathon can also serve as a stepping stone for others to compete in national computer science and app-building competitions such as the Congressional App Challenge, the Swift Student Challenge, and the Presidential AI Challenge.
